There comes a time in every person’s life when they ask, “Do I matter? What have I accomplished? Did I make a difference?”
From a jack to a king, we play every card we’re dealt.
From a cry to a laugh, we live out each day.
From a song to a story, we write the pages of our lives.
From child to teen, we learn how to play.
From teen to adult, we learn how to work.
From doubts to fear, we live to escape.
From moment to moment, we strive to be happy.
From thoughts to ideas, we visualize our dreams.
From risk to failure, we learn how to succeed.
From faith to belief, we grow to love.
From family to friends, we cherish life.
From trials to mistakes, we are forever grateful.
From falling to rising, we get back up again.
From beauty to ashes, we are human.
From gifts to warnings, we are made whole.
From truths to lies, we learn how to trust.
From anger to sadness, we practice patience.
From loyalty to judgments, we learn how to forgive.
From prayer to thanksgiving, we count our blessings.
From cruelty to punishment, we study the harshness in this world.
From questions to answers, we are taught knowledge.
From pain to experiences, we are taught wisdom.
From grief to emptiness, we live like we are dying.
And From life to death, we move on to a better place.
We share our hearts, our pain and our lives together. We are One Voice, One Nation, One People — One Race called Mankind.
What is life but a fleeting moment in time?
All that we have and all that we do will one day be swept up.
King Solomon was known as the wisest man on Earth. He had everything he ever wanted; all the riches and all the knowledge and yet he lacked substance. He questioned, is it all meaningless? His evaluation of life, from an earthly perspective, illustrates that our lives left without God are utterly meaningless.
“What does a man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun?” – Ecclesiastes 1:3
Solomon discovered that no matter how much a person has, it will never be enough to satisfy the soul.
The wisest person will tell you that until you lay it all down, you will not be truly satisfied. Solomon points us to God, the ultimate Creator of life. When one builds a relationship with God they find their true source of happiness.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, – Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
With teachings of truth to guide every step of the way, a light shines upon the path.
Heaven is a place especially prepared for us. A place with no more sorrow, no more pain.
With wisdom unfolding, this life is a place of learning.
The life we live is the legacy we’ll leave behind. For our youth, for the future generations, for the people of tomorrow, we give back and pay it forward.
We can make a difference.
This is our moment of truth.
