Are you frustrated because you are living in the half glory of who you are meant to be? What is your purpose in life? Are you serving with a higher purpose? What’s on your bucket list? Many have a list of things to do before they die. It’s all about purpose. When you serve with a purpose, it makes a difference in the lives of others. When you serve with a purpose, you make a difference in your life.
What did Jesus do? He served with a purpose. In his last days, he washed feet. He became a servant and he served with a servant’s heart. As Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, he washed Judas’ feet as well. Who else would do that?
Lay aside your agenda and say, ‘Lord I’m available to serve you.’ Until you’re ready to do that you’re not ready to serve. People today want to be served. They have high standards of what pleases them. Are you self-centered and consumed with what’s going on around you that you squeeze out being Christ centered?
Have you discovered your purpose?
Deuteronomy 8:11-14 says, “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”
Have we forgotten? Lay aside your agenda and become humble.
Serve others with a purpose.
Is there anything in your life that is bigger than you? Ask the soul-searching questions. What purpose do you serve? What kind of legacy are you leaving? What would people miss if you were to go away?
To be able to help somebody else in need is an amazing thing. If God has put a gift of encouragement in you, it’s your duty to share it. If God has provided with you with an abundance of blessings, you are honored to share it with others. If God has planted a seed of wisdom in your heart, you are ordained to share it.
Keeping a prayer journal inspires you when the road bends. Reflect on answered prayers. Reflect on unanswered prayers. God brought you through the tough times, when He fed you in the wilderness of your life. Remember the supernatural favor God poured down on you when you were on your knees? God brought you through the afflictions, the deep pains and sorrows in your life. Don’t forget what God has done. Remember Him in your prayer journal and give Him thanks.
Serve with a higher purpose in mind and find you’re true calling.
